A friendship and partnership that helps those in need in the Midland area

For more than 20 years, the West Midland Family Center has coordinated with Hidden Harvest to alleviate hunger for community members in the high poverty area of western Midland County.   

One-on-one tutoring for children and adults includes the Barton Reading and Spelling program for children who are a year or more behind in reading.
Legacy Center needs tutors for reading and math services

The Legacy Center for Community Success helps people reach their full potential, including children who are behind in math and reading, and adults who are building basic education and workforce skills. That work can’t be done without enough volunteer tutors.

Explore the new nature area in Midland

In mid-July, City of Midland and Dow officials celebrated the grand opening of the Eagle Ridge Nature Area in Stratford Woods Park.  The project was developed by Dow as a component of its natural resources damage restoration efforts and will be transferred to the City of Midland for future oversight and preservation.

The new Rogers Family Wellness Park – located on N. Saginaw Rd in Midland, is the outcome of an opportunity that grew out of the 2020 flood. The new park designed by and paid for in part by MyMichigan Health, was designed to attract people of all ages and promote good health.  

The club meets three times per year.
Midland 100 Club proudly donates again

The Midland 100 Club, made up of almost 600 members, meets at the Midland Center for the Arts three times per year and selects two beneficiary organizations at each meeting.
