What began as an adult club expanded in 2018 to include youth, welcoming beginners and guiding them from rowing machines to the water. For rowers like Addison Butcher, it offers a calming outlet and a strong sense of connection.

Constellation Craft Kits bring bright shining star to children, families during dark hospital stays

A Bay City mom and former teacher founded Constellation Craft Kits, a nonprofit to help bring joyful light to children and families during dark times spent in hospitals. Today, the nonprofit creates, assembles, and distributes 4,800 craft kits to youngsters receiving treatment at six pediatric hospitals across the state.

The Bay City State Park recently completed renovations including upgrades to the campground, play area, and visitor center.
Give Local Bay 2026 is expected to be the biggest yet

Give Local Bay, a 24-hour fundraiser with a proven track record, takes place on May 5. This year, a record number of Bay and Arenac county agencies are part of the annual event.

Never quit is the message from a Bay Commitment Scholarship alumnus to current students

Since 2008, the Bay Area Community Foundation has offered the Bay Commitment Scholarship to first-generation college students in Bay County pursuing a degree at either Saginaw Valley State University or Delta College.
