Eleven Midland County school teams advance in STEM competition

Up to $77,500 is up for grabs through the A.H. Nickless Innovation Award competition, which aims to challenge students to develop innovative solutions to the world’s problems. Most teams advancing in this regional competition are from local schools.

The Grace A. Dow Memorial Library has launched the Battle of the Books competition to encourage reading among elementary and middle school students. Teams of students can register for the program by Jan. 15.
