Family Winter Fun Fest fills Bay City Town Center with free activities on Feb. 18

Family Winter Fun Fest at the Bay City Town Center on Sat., Feb. 18 offers kids a chance to play while parents pick up information about community resources.

For a good time, take the kids out to the Family Winter Fun Fest at the Bay City Town Center on Sat., Feb. 18 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event is part of the Bay-Arenac Great Start Collaborative.

What’s happening: The free event includes family activities, entertainment, food, vendors, and more. Activities include some that are just for fun while others are educational.

Entertainment scheduled to run throughout the event include NooNoo & MiMi’s Face Painting.

Bay Shore Camp offers a “Kids Zone” with a 9 Square in the Air game, climbing wall, bounce house, GAGA ball, archery tag, inflatable jousting activities, bungee run, and an obstacle course.

Family activities await inside the Bay County Family Fun Club. And McLaren Bay Region offers educational outreach and health services with a dark room activity that explains germs.

Why it matters: Rich Van Tol, Great Start Coordinator for the Bay-Arenac ISD, says the event is more than just a fun afternoon for families of young children. During the event, parents will get tips for keeping their kids safe plus information on how to connect with community resources. 

Center Stage Schedule:

  • 10:30 to 11 a.m. Bay Arenac Diaper Bank’s Diaper Dash
  • 11:30 a.m.: Free pizza is served
  • Noon to 12:30 p.m. Bay Arenac Diaper Bank’s Toddler Trot Race
  • Noon to 1 p.m.: Balloons
  • 1:15 to 2 p.m.: Joel Tacey Magic Show
