Life after high school leads students to college, the military, and the skilled trades

Local high schools are inviting students to consider a range of opportunities after graduation. The schools invite alumni in different fields, military recruiters, college representatives, and others to talk to the students about what it takes to succeed.  

Mónica Guzmán, who wrote 'I Never Thought of it That Way: How to Have Fearlessly Curious Conversations in Dangerously Divided Times,' is coming to Delta College in April. The public is invited to her free lecture.

Rotary Vocational Days convince a local student that teaching is her forever career

The Bay City Rotary Club and Morning Rotary Club invited high school juniors and seniors from throughout the community to spend a morning shadowing a professional on the job. Madison Danielski spent her morning with an elementary school teacher.

Michigan Sugar donates 43,000 pounds of sugar at the United Way Sugar Distribution Day

A chance encounter helped a couple find their way home to one of Bay City’s historic districts

Dr. Brian Purchase and his wife, Dr. Rosarita Rullan, raised their two sons in what was once the carriage house for William Clements, a banker and rare book collector in Bay City. The carriage house was converted to a home in the 1950s.
