The Bay County Animal Control and Care Center changed its name to reflect its mission of uniting pets with families. The center has earned state accolades for its efforts to save the animals in its care.  

Thursday was a working day, so the ships weren’t open for tours. Hundreds of people lined the river, though, to watch the crews dock the boats.
