As originally reported in the Midland Daily News, several local leadership board positions are available for application as Midland continues to grow and change. Extensive or previous experience is not a necessary requirement, as the most important factor for consideration is a willingness to get involved and help with local issues.

The following seats are available, along with the term limits for each:

  • One MCTV access user position on the Cable Access Advisory Commission with a term expiring June 30, 2020.
  • One citizen-at-large position on the Dial-A-Ride Advisory Commission with a term expiring June 30, 2020.
  • Two citizen-at-large positions on the West Main Street Historic District Commission, with terms expiring June 30, 2019 and June 30, 2020.

Applications will be accepted until 5 p.m. on December 8, 2017. Forms are located on the Midland city website: www.cityofmidlandmi.gov/boardscommissions or in hard copy form at the City Manager’s Office at 333 W. Ellsworth Street.
