Pedestrian plazas opening this June in downtown Midland

The pedestrian plaza will be opening in downtown Midland on June 10, with street closures beginning June 4. Midlanders and tourists alike can enjoy outdoor seating, added greenery, twinkling lights, live music, and fun events all summer.

Art Seen Festival will take place in downtown Midland from June 5-6, alongside even more local art festivals.

Midland will be oozing art this June. Art Seen kicks off its inaugural festival in downtown Midland. Also happening that same weekend are Mural Blast, the Midland Center for the Arts’ Summer Art Fair, and Creative 360’s community mural and Art Speaks Festival.

Midland is looking forward to seeing the return of two exciting programs: Midland Blooms and The Dow Tennis Classic. Midland Blooms will be held May 22, and the world-class tennis tournament will take place November 1-7.

In designing the space, Holliday said the team wanted to create a unique atmosphere, something different from the experiences at other incredible regional restaurants.
Midland Center for the Arts opens Mid-Century Modern inspired lounge

The Midland Center for the Arts celebrates its Mid-Century Modern design with the Pendulum Lounge, opening Thursday, March 4. The bar features small plates, cocktails, beer, and wine, giving a nod to iconic design elements from notable architect Alden B. Dow.
