Less than a century ago hundreds of Native American children were taken from their families and sent to a Mt. Pleasant boarding school in an attempt to assimilate them into white culture. Now, the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe of Michigan is working with a professor at Central Michigan University to build a picture of what life would have been like at the school and rehabilitate the grounds.
